Calculating the Image Aspect Ratio

If it's important to match the map perfectly, use a formula to find the circumference of the cylinder/sphere object and use that to get my aspect ratio for the map. If you use fit to object it ignores the aspect ratio, unless you try to change one of the sizing numbers, and then it recalculates the size of the map keeping the aspect ratio.
